High in the clock tower of Tinker Town lived Bolt, a shiny robot dragon with copper wings and a heart that ticked like a tiny drum. Every evening, Bolt puffed warm golden sparks to light the town's lanterns, one by one by one.
Tonight was the Star Festival! The whole town would gather under the lanterns to sing songs and munch honey buns. Bolt's gears whirred with excitement. 'My most important night of the whole year!' he beamed, polishing his snout until it gleamed.
But when Bolt took a deep breath and puffed... fizzle. Pop. Out came one tiny puff of glitter, then nothing at all. Bolt's spark had run out! The sun was sliding low. 'Oh no,' he whispered. 'How will I light the lanterns now?'
Bolt's ticking heart went thump-thump. He needed power before sunset! Should he zoom up to Windmill Hill, where the great sails spin the wind into sparkly energy? Or hurry down to Professor Pip's workshop, where the clever inventor fixes everything from toasters to trumpets?
