You know it's important.
You know how good it is for them.
You love doing it together (even when it's the same story again).
But some days, getting them to sit and read feels impossible.
And at the end of a long day, between another episode and another game, there always seems to be an easier option.
How are you supposed to compete with that?
We get it.
You want to give them something more.
Something that sparks their imagination.
Something fun, but actually meaningful.
Something they can learn from without it feeling like schoolwork.
Well, that's what we wanted anyway.
See, we're parents too. And between the three of us we've got a six-year-old who won't sit still for a page, a four-year-old who'd sit through anything, and one who only wants stories about dinosaurs.
We love storytime. We just needed something that worked for all of them.
So we made one.
A new kind of storytime, made for our little ones.
One you can read together, or they can listen to on their own.
One where they're not just along for the ride.
Where the story pauses and asks them.
Follow the footprints, or go into the cave?
See the T-rex's claws, or his banana-sized teeth?
Fly to Mars, or Saturn?
They choose. The story follows.
One of us has two boys who can never agree on which way to go. So they read it twice, once down each path, and everyone's happy.
That's the thing we found with a story that changes. They go back on their own, to find out what happens the other way.
Stories for them, where they're in charge.
And we know nothing replaces curling up with a real book at bedtime. We're not trying to.
But not every moment is made for lugging a big bag of books.
The long car trip. The waiting room. The hotel room.
That's what Tale Twirlers is for.

That's how we use it.
Not replacing storytime. Adding to it.
More of it.
