High on a creaky library shelf, Princess Amara found a small glass bottle, dusty and forgotten. Inside, something rattled β a single seed, silvery and warm to the touch, as if it had been waiting. 'Hello there,' she whispered, and the seed seemed to glow just a little.
Amara tiptoed past creaking suits of armor to a forgotten courtyard, hidden behind ivy and cobwebs. Cracked stones, a dry old fountain, sunlight pouring in just right. 'This will be your new home,' she said, tucking the seed gently into the soft, waiting soil.
Each morning, Amara watered the soil and hummed little songs to it. On the third day, tiny mint leaves curled up β fresh and sharp-smelling. That same morning, the castle cook lay sick in bed. Amara brought her steaming mint tea, and color returned to the cook's cheeks.
Curious, Amara returned the next day to find two new tendrils curling out through the ivy β one reaching toward the training yard, one toward the kitchens. The garden was pointing somewhere. Which winding path should she follow?
