High on a windy mountain stood a great golden door with a brass knocker shaped like a bee. Kings' children came from everywhere to open it. A prince shoved β OOF! A princess picked the lock β click, nothing! A duke's cannon went BOOM and only blew off his own hat.
Then up the path came Jasper. He watched the shoving and the banging, and thought: nobody has tried the simplest thing of all. He walked up, knocked gently β tap, tap, tap β and said, 'Excuse me, door. May I please come in?' The mountain went very quiet.
CREEEEAK! The great door swung open β for a knock and a please! Jasper stepped inside a round cave with glowing blue crystal walls. But the treasure wasn't there. Instead, two more doors waited side by side. The treasure was hiding deeper in the mountain, behind door after door!
Jasper tiptoed closer. From behind the round copper door carved with waves came a soft splish-splash of water. From behind the tall silver door carved with stars came a gentle twinkling hum. Jasper's tummy fizzed with excitement. Which door should he open?
