Every Halloween, two rival witches at the end of Maple Lane try to outdo each other with the most magical sweets in town, and nobody ever knows what surprise is coming. Milo the little dinosaur promised his sniffly sister Posy a magic treat to show her. Which witch's door will he knock on, and which surprise will he carry home? Each choice leads to a different magical night for both of them.

Every kid on Maple Lane knew the legend. Two witches lived side by side at the very end of the lane, and every Halloween they tried to outdo one another with the most magical sweets. Nobody knew this year's surprise! Milo zipped up his dinosaur costume. Swish went his tail!
But Milo's little sister Posy sat wrapped in a blanket, sniffling. 'Achoo! I can't come.' Milo felt sad. Then he had an idea. 'I'll bring home a magic treat to show you,' he promised. Posy smiled. 'Make sure you say please,' she whispered. 'Witches love manners.'
Milo marched down the lane. Crunch, crunch went the leaves. At the very end, two houses glowed side by side: a round cottage with golden lanterns and a tall, crooked house with purple lanterns. Milo felt curious and a tiny bit nervous. Which house first?
