SCRATCH. SCRATCH. SCRATCH. Millie's eyes snapped open. Something was at her bedroom door! She pulled the covers up to her nose. She hugged Mr. Bunny tight. "Don't be scared, Mr. Bunny," she whispered. Mr. Bunny didn't look scared. Millie looked VERY scared.
CREAK. The door swung open. Tap. Tap. Tap. Something was coming across the floor. Closer. CLOSER. It stopped right by the bed. Millie peeked over the edge. Very... very... slowly. Two glowing eyes stared up at her!
βMew.β It was Pickles... the cat. She hopped up and flopped on Millieβs pillow. She stretched. And stretched. And STRETCHED. Until... THUD! Millie slid right off the bed. βThanks a LOT, Pickles.β
Then... THUMP! Somewhere in the dark. Millie grabbed her flashlight and Mr. Bunny. Which way should Millie go?
