Star Light, Star Bright

Star Light, Star Bright

Star light, star bright, First star I see tonight; I wish I may, I wish I might, Have the wish I wish tonight. The twinkling star winks back at me, A silent promise, can it be? I close my eyes and whisper low, A secret wish, the wind will blow Across the sky, to realms afar, Carrying my wish, a shooting star. Will it come true, that tiny light? I wait with hope throughout the night. But even if my wish takes flight, There's magic in the starry night. The Milky Way, a silver stream, Galaxies shimmer in a dream. Shooting stars streak, fast and bright, Leaving trails that fade from sight. Planets dance, a cosmic show, A million stories, soft and slow. The moon, a pearl in velvet skies, Watches over as the night wind sighs. And though my wish may not unfold, The beauty of the stars is worth more than gold. So next time you see a star ignite, Make a wish, but hold on tight To the wonder that the heavens hold, A story whispered, never old.
