"NOT AGAIN!" Ruby stared at the empty bowl on her table. Just water. No Gillbert. Gillbert was Ruby's goldfish. Small, orange, and ALWAYS escaping. "MOM! DAD! Gillbert's gone… AGAIN!"
Mom and Dad didn't even look up. "Third time this week," said Dad. "That getaway goldfish," sighed Mom. How does a goldfish even GET out? "This time," said Ruby, "I'm catching you for GOOD."
Ruby checked the shelf. No Gillbert. She looked under the bed. No Gillbert. She peeked in her shoe. (You never know.) Then she heard it. Splashing and bubbles, somewhere down the hall.
Gillbert could be ANYWHERE! Where's he got to?
