In a green and gentle pond, storytelling was everything. Every evening, just as the sun dipped low, all the animals gathered close, filling the pond with laughter and wonder. It was everyone's favorite time of day! And at the very edge sat Marlow, a small and shy turtle, quietly listening.
Marlow longed to tell stories too. He dreamed of friends leaning close to hear his words. But whenever his turn came near, he never felt like he had a story good enough to share. He would take a tiny breath — but always stayed quiet, tucking himself away inside his shell.
One afternoon, Marlow wandered beyond the tall green reeds. There he discovered a tiny hidden pond — so still and quiet, no louder than a whisper. Marlow leaned in close to the water. And all at once, he felt the words of a wonderful story rushing up inside him.
