Little Red Riding Hood
Little Red loved her bright red cape. One sunny day, her mama packed a basket with cookies and a book for Grandma, who wasn't feeling well. "Stay on the path," Mama reminded her. Little Red skipped through the forest, singing happy songs. Suddenly, she met a fox with bright orange fur. "Hello there," said the fox with a smile. "Where are you going?" "I'm taking treats to my Grandma," said Little Red. The fox pointed to a path with pretty flowers. "You should go this way. It's nice!" Little Red thought about what Mama said. "Thank you, but I'll stay on my path." The tricky fox ran ahead to Grandma's cottage. When he got there, Grandma was drinking tea. "Oh my!" said Grandma. She grabbed her wooden spoon. "Shoo, fox! Out of my house!" The fox's ears drooped. "I'm sorry," he said. "I'm just so hungry. I haven't eaten all day." Grandma lowered her spoon. "Being hungry is no excuse for scaring people." Just then, Little Red arrived at the cottage. "Grandma! I brought cookies and a book!" Grandma opened the door with a smile. "Come in, dear. We have a visitor." Little Red saw the fox looking sad in the corner. "That's the fox from the forest!" "He was being tricky because he's hungry," explained Grandma. Little Red thought for a moment. She opened her basket and took out a cookie. "Would you like one? But you must promise no more tricks." The fox nodded. "I promise. Thank you for being kind." So Grandma, Little Red, and the fox shared cookies and stories all afternoon. The fox helped keep bunnies out of Grandma's garden, and they became friends. From that day on, the fox visited often, bringing berries from the forest instead of playing tricks. And Little Red learned that sometimes, kindness can turn a tricky situation into a friendship.
