Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet, Eating her curds and whey; Along came a spider, who sat down beside her, And frightened Miss Muffet away. Poor Miss Muffet tumbled off the tuffet, Curds and whey scattered, a sticky muffet. Tears welled in her eyes, a sniffle slipped free, The spider blinked back, as confused as could be. "Oh dear!" he squeaked, his voice thin and high, "I meant no harm, just passing by. Would you like some help to gather your treat? These curds and whey look oh so sweet!" Miss Muffet, hesitant, wiped a tear away, The spider's gentle words chased the fear at bay. "Well, alright," she mumbled with a small, hopeful sigh, "Perhaps we can clean it together, you and I." The spider spun a web, delicate and fine, Scooping the curds and whey, not a morsel left behind. Miss Muffet giggled, a smile on her face, The spider's kindness filled the empty space. "Thank you, kind spider," Miss Muffet declared, "For helping me out, and the fright you repaired." The spider bowed low, eight legs a-twitch, "It was my pleasure, a brand new stitch!" From then on, Miss Muffet and the spider, friends they became, Sharing picnics on tuffet, a friendship aflame. They learned that appearances can be quite deceiving, And kindness from all creatures, is truly believing.
